Word Activity

One of the core concepts behind practice lists is word activity. You can manage word activity in several parts of the app, including the list details, during practice, and on the regular practice summary screen. The primary rule is simple: inactive words are never considered as potential puzzles. While additional rules may apply, this is the key principle.

Switching a word’s activity status is reversible—you can toggle a word between active and inactive at any time. However, keep in mind that the card’s progress does not change while it is inactive. For example, if you review your list five times while a word is inactive and later reactivate it, the word could appear five times in a row before other cards are shown.
